Success Academy is a network of nearly 40 charter schools in New York City. Jam3 was asked to build a site that would offer a “virtual tour” to prospective parents and students, as well as educators looking to see what made Success Academy so…well, so successful.
The site is an interactive documentary that features several hours of video - all organized into individual chapters for easy access - plus photo galleries, informational PDFs, and more - all navigated through a Mondrian-inspired grid visual that’s seen throughout the school.
A simplified version of the site was produced for mobile. Don’t let this image fool you: you still had to view it on a phone. It didn’t just float in space like this, although that would be pretty cool.
On the strength of the Middle School site, Success Academy also enlisted Jam3 to create a similar tour for their High School. I was also tapped to lead this project.
